Journey of Transformation

Last night was the end of one voyage and the beginning of another.

Dalvero Academy celebrated the opening of our second gallery show at Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and the Sea – I was privileged to be an artist in the show.

As a participant in the show, I was amazed! To see the variety and beauty of my colleagues' work was inspiring. It's a culmination of years of hard work and a tribute to the leadership, teaching and example of Veronica Lawlor and Margaret Hurst.

Our relationship with Mystic Seaport has been defined by mutual benefit and affection.

Jonathan Shay of Mystic Seaport, who in retirement, invested his skill, passion and creativity into mounting this show, said it best last night: Dalvero is a family. It was truly moving to see my brothers and sisters succeed last night.

Visit the Seaport, go to the exhibits, walk on the ships and stop by the Mallory Building to see the experience of The Charles W. Morgan's 38th Voyage through our eyes.
